The Content

This “blog” introduces currencies through the lens of a “historian” (term used very loosely). From the U.S. dollar, to the Euro, to the Yen, and (maybe) even old and extinct currencies. This might be useful for anyone who is doing monetary research and wants the help of previous empirical research.
The Author and The Site
This came from approximately five months of research into the history of just the U.S. dollar. After the document turned out to be over 80 pages, I realized it wouldn’t have been accepted anywhere, so I turned to blogging. WordPress.com (not .org, they’re different somehow) was… a choice, that’s for sure, but we live, and we learn (i hate this site, worst decision i’ve made this year).
Anyways, this is by no means an authoritative or primary source, but it does contain a good list of sources that are authoritative and primary. Think of it as a useful compilation for when you just want a quick surface-level understanding of something.
So yeah, thanks for reading this (for some reason), and have a great time.
